ITINERARY

We will start our day with one of the premier destinations in Taiwan, Yehliu Geopark, home to a number of unique geological formations including the iconic “Queen’s Head”. After exploring these natural marvels, hike the picturesque Bitoujiao Trail, high above the coastline. Throughout the day, enjoy the ocean view and countless temples on this scenic drive. There is always something to see in this diverse area as you leave the busy metropolis behind for more natural surroundings.

Get some fresh air first thing in the morning and hike Linmei Shipan Trail through lush foliage, along a charming creek and past flowing waterfalls. Then we’re onto epic vistas at Nanfangao, which overlooks a traditional fishing harbor.

After a fresh seafood lunch, do a jungle hike to a 30 meter waterfall, and relax in the mist or take a quick dip to cool down.

Next, take in one of the 7 wonders of Taiwan, Qingshui Cliffs, a 21 kilometer length of coastal cliffs averaging 800 meters above sea level. That night, have a peaceful night’s rest in Hualien City.

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Liyu Lake, and swim in nearby crystal clear rivers. Explore the pristine Bai Bao Creek, wading through its cool currents as you search for genuine Taiwan jade.

Savor the authentic flavors of Amis Tribal cuisine, then bicycle through the lush forested paths of Danongdafu. End your day with a relaxing soak in the soothing hot springs at the Hoya Hotspring Resort.

Head into the jewel of Taiwan, Taroko Gorge National Park. Explore the Taroko Arch, the Taroko Visitor’s center, and the peaceful Eternal Spring Shrine. Wind through the gorge to Tianxiang, where you can hike up to Xiangde Temple for stunning views. Enjoy a delicious meal of authentic Indigenous cuisine, and end your day with a relaxing visit to Qixingtan Beach.

Start off with a calming visit to the spectacular Gangtian Taoist Temple, before a small hike to the Sakul Waterfall. After a delicious snack, cool down with the locals in the magical Shuiyuendi River.

Make sure you have a large appetite, as the last stop is the Hualien Nightmarket, where the heart of the city presides when the sun goes down. Challenge yourself to try some of the local delicacies, and feel the vibe from the live indigenous music as you wind your way through this colorful collection of food, drinks, and games.

Journey along the coast to Henan Temple, where you can take in breathtaking sea views beneath Taiwan’s largest golden Buddha, perched on the mountainside.

Explore the East Coast’s second-largest gorge, then hike to a cliff-top viewpoint for stunning vistas, before relaxing on the sandy shores of Jici Beach. Wander through the tranquil coastal fields of the Xinshe Coastal Rice Terraces.

Savor the unique flavor of traditional smoked flying fish at an Amis Tribe Fisherman’s Restaurant, and venture to Shihtiping (Stone Steps), where you’ll marvel at surreal rock formations and crystal-clear tidal pools, surrounded by a magnificent 360-degree panorama of land and sea.

Wake up to the Open Pacific, and take a quick ride to the Tropic of Cancer Marker where you can stand in a tropical and temperate zone at the same time!

Continue down the coast and walk across the famous “Bridge of the three immortals”, composed of offshore islands and coral reefs, before hanging out in surfers’ paradise in the popular artist towns of Donghe and Dulan.

Marvel at the unique sandstone formations at Xiaoyeliu and check out the daily catch at Fugang harbor before heading into Taidong City.

Begin your journey south toward the southernmost tip of Taiwan, where you’ll be captivated by the stunning Gangzhi Desert, a vast, unique landscape. As you continue, weave through lush jungle and pass by charming indigenous villages, offering a glimpse into Taiwan’s rich cultural heritage. Your first stop is Longpan Park, where you can enjoy sweeping coastal views and dramatic cliffs. Next, visit the iconic Cape Eluanbi, home to the historic lighthouse and panoramic ocean vistas. Explore the Shaodao Ecological Preserve, a peaceful, natural haven where you can immerse yourself in the region’s beauty before  concluding your day at Southbay Beach.

On the final day, start with a relaxing visit to Baisha (White Sand) Beach, where you can enjoy the pristine sands and clear waters. Next, dive into the region’s history as you explore the Hengchun Gates, impressive structures that have stood since the Qing Dynasty. As the day draws to a close, we’ll drive you to Kaohsiung, dropping you off at the Zuoying Train Station, where you can continue your journey.
